How to Change Your Apple Pay Card Design

What you need

iPhone with iOS 18 or later. The card must be set up in Apple Pay.
Computer Windows or Mac.
Cable that connects your iPhone to the computer. The charging cable usually works.
iTunes (Windows only) Download iTunes from Apple's website. On a Mac nothing extra is needed.

The guide, step by step

Pick a design pack and pay. Open the the pricing page, pick a pack or All Access (which also includes custom image upload), and pay. Right after payment you get a license key by email.
Download and run the app. Open the download page and download Skini. On Windows install it from the Microsoft Store and open it, and it runs in the background. On a Mac open the DMG and drag to Applications.
Connect your iPhone by cable. Connect the iPhone to your computer, unlock it, and if you see "Trust This Computer?" tap trust. It's the same prompt iTunes shows.
Open the Studio and enter your key. Skini opens the Studio in your browser. Enter the license key from the email and click "Load my designs".
Identify the card. Click "Detect a new card", open the Wallet app on the iPhone (not by double-pressing the side button), and go to the card you want to change. The Studio detects it within seconds.
Pick a design and swap. Pick a design from your pack, see how it looks on the card, and click "Switch design now". A few seconds later, open Wallet on your iPhone and see the new design.

How to restore the original design

Remove the card from Wallet and add it back through "Previous Cards", and it comes back with its original design. It takes less than a minute, right on your iPhone. The full guide to restoring the original design.

A few things worth knowing

No jailbreak. Your iPhone stays updated and locked, Apple Pay keeps working as usual.
No risk to your card. Skini only replaces the image shown on the card. Payment details are stored in the Secure Element, an isolated chip in the iPhone, and Skini doesn't touch them. More about safety.
On Windows Apple's drivers need to be installed (they come with iTunes).
Unlimited swaps. Pay once for the pack and swap as many times as you like.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe? Does anyone touch my card?

It's safe. Skini only replaces the image shown on the card in Wallet. Payment details are stored in an isolated part of the iPhone (Secure Element), and no software can read them, including ours. The swap happens over cable between the computer and the iPhone, without uploading anything to the cloud.

Do I need a jailbreak?

No. Your iPhone stays updated and locked, exactly as it is.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone with iOS 18 or later. There's an app for Windows and Mac. On Windows you need Apple's drivers that come with iTunes (from Apple's website).

How many times can I change the design?

As many as you like. You pay once for the pack, not per swap. You can change designs every day, go back to one you liked or try a new one.

What do I get after paying?

You get a license key and a download link by email. Download the app, open the Studio on the site, enter the key, and the designs you bought are waiting for you.
