How it works and what you need ↓

1. The service

Skini provides software and design files that let you change the picture shown on a card in Apple Pay (in the Wallet app) on a device you own. The service changes the design only and does not touch payment data.

2. Permitted use

You may use Skini only on a device you own or have explicit permission to modify. You may not use the service for deception, forging documents, impersonation or any unlawful activity.

3. License

A purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive license to use the purchased designs on up to 2 iPhones per license key. A device is registered to the key the first time a design is applied on it; to move the license to another device, contact us. You may not resell, distribute or share the license key or the design files.

4. Payments, cancellation and refunds

Payment is one-time per pack. The license key and the designs are delivered right after purchase.

You can cancel a purchase that hasn't been used yet by emailing us within 14 days of the purchase date. Use means applying a design on a device, even once. Once a design has been used, or after 14 days, no refund is given.

This is in line with consumer protection law, under which the right to cancel a distance sale does not apply to software and digital files.

5. How long the service runs

We don't commit to providing the service forever, and we may change, suspend or stop it, in whole or in part, at any time. A design already applied to a device stays on it. Stopping or changing the service does not entitle you to a refund, beyond what the law requires.

6. Liability and its limits

The service is provided "as is". Future operating system updates may affect how the software works. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Use is at your sole responsibility.

7. Intellectual property and disclosure

Skini is not affiliated with Apple Inc., banks or credit card companies. Apple, Apple Pay and Wallet are trademarks of Apple Inc.

8. Copyright and no copying

All rights in the website and the service are reserved to Skini, including the design of the site and its interface, the code of the site and the Studio, the texts, videos and images we produced, and the selection, sorting, tagging and arrangement of the design library. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell or create derivative works from any of these, in whole or in part, and you may not collect content from the site automatically (scraping, bots or similar tools), without Skini's prior written permission.

Infringing these rights may expose the infringer to legal proceedings, including claims for damages, an injunction and costs.

How to use Skini

Good to know before you buy: you need a computer.

You change the design from a computer, with your iPhone connected to it by cable. It can't be done from the iPhone alone.

What you need

  • An iPhone with iOS 18 or later.
  • A Windows PC or a Mac.
  • A cable that connects your iPhone to the computer. Your iPhone's charging cable usually works.
  • On Windows only: iTunes from Apple's website. On a Mac you don't need to install anything else.

Step by step

The whole switch happens on your computer. You install the software on the computer, enter your license key on the computer and pick the design on the computer. The iPhone just stays connected to it by cable.

  1. Pick a pack and pay. Your license key and a download link arrive by email.
  2. On your computer, download and install the Skini helper app from the download page. It's what lets the site talk to your iPhone.
  3. On Windows, install iTunes from Apple's website if it isn't installed yet. On a Mac, skip this step.
  4. Connect your iPhone with the cable, unlock it, and if it asks "Trust This Computer?", tap Trust.
  5. On your computer, open the Studio on the site, enter your license key and pick a design.
  6. Apply it, reopen Wallet on your iPhone, and the new design shows on your card.

Want the original design back? Remove the card from Wallet and add it again. Something not working? Email us at skini@applepay.skin and we'll help.
